Ross Neal

Ross is  a Newark, Delaware native and graduate of Wayne State University. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism. While obtaining his education at Wayne State, he was a member of the Journalism Institute for Media Diversity and was a radio personality for the “The Mid-day Hip-Hop and R&B” show.  Before beginning his teaching career, Neal held various positions in the community. He obtained his first job at the age of 14 as a camp counselor in training at the West End Neighborhood House in Wilmington, Delaware. After which, he worked as a counselor at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club and various group homes where he worked closely with sex offenders and gang members. Neal has served the public school Title 1 educator for 7 years. As he continues to educate students, he serves as the 21st Century Coordinator at his school, while tutoring students in his community and working part-time at a group home. Neal’s desire is to provide less fortunate students with specific knowledge needed to navigate successfully through life and have a prospering future.
